Configuring your Motion Recording zones

To configure your Motion Recording zones, you’ll need to either click the ‘Settings’ button on the My Home page or the ‘Motion Recording Settings’ button on the Camera Manager page.

Whilst setting up the first camera, you would have created your first motion detection zone. If you wish to create a second motion detection zone, please select the ‘Enable’ tick box. The sensitivity slider to the right of your camera’s image controls how much motion needs to be detected before a recording occurs. Sliding it towards the left (‘Small Movement’) will mean it detects all motions, small and large, whilst sliding it towards the right (‘Large Movement’) will mean it only catches larger movements.

You can resize the zones by dragging their corners and moving them to cover the area around which you would like motion to be detected. It is worth noting that an event is triggered when an object crosses the edge of one of the zones and not when it is within the area within them.
Whenever you finish making changes to your Motion Recording zones, please click ‘Save Settings’ to save your settings.

If you find that you are unable to create motion detection zones or edit your motion detection schedule, then it may well be that Javascript is disabled on your browser. You can check this by visiting Whilst there, it would be worth checking that your browser is up-to-date, and that both Flash and Java are enabled and updated.
