How to remove a product from your Y-cam Account

If you want to return, sell, reinstall or dispose your Y-cam product you will need to remove the product from your account and hard reset it. The instructions for removing and resetting your Y-cam products from your account and factory resetting it are detailed below.

Y-cam Protect Indoor Camera, Y-cam Evo and Y-cam Evo Protect Edition.
  1. Open the Y-cam app.
  2. Select Settings from the menu.
  3. Select your camera.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and press Delete Camera, and confirm the reason.
    • If the camera is offline, press the Dustbin. Then confirm you wish to delete the camera, and the reason why.
Please "Hard Reset" your camera to restore it to Factory Settings.
  1. Make sure the camera is powered on.
  2. Use a pin or paperclip to hold down the reset button until the status led flashes red.
    • The reset button is on the left side of the camera half way up​​ 
  3. The status led will then go blue, and then flash and then blue again.
  4. Once this is done the camera has been factory reset.
Y-cam Protect Outdoor Camera, HomeMonitor HD Pro.
  1. Open the Y-cam app.
  2. Select Settings from the menu.
  3. Select your camera.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and press Delete Camera, and confirm the reason.
    • If the camera is offline, press the Dustbin. Then confirm you wish to delete the camera, and the reason why.
Please "Hard Reset" your camera to restore it to Factory Settings.
  1. Make sure the camera is powered on.
  2. Press and hold down the reset button for 10 seconds.
    • The reset button is at the back of the camera under the antenna.
  3. Once this is done the camera has been factory reset.
Y-cam Protect Alarm System.
  1. Open the Y-cam app.
  2. Select Settings from the menu.
  3. Select your hub.
  4. Delete all your sensors.
  5. Then choose your Hub.
  6. Delete the Hub.
Please "Hard Reset" your Hub to restore it to Factory Settings.
  1. Hold down the Battery Off button with a pin or paperclip until the led on the hub turns off.
    • The battery off button is located on the back of the Hub next to the Ethernet port.
  2. Once the led is off the hub has been reset.
